Nice and friendly staff. The coffee is phenomenal here.
Would not come back. FYI order @ the counter as there’s no table service. Sunday morning for brunch and the place is busy but seating is limited. The seating arrangement is not well thought out so if you get stuck on the right side, you have to make people get up to let you out like an airplane row. Ordered a cortado, “fresh” orange juice, french toast, and grits. The cortado was more milk than espresso; the orange juice came from a bottle but I guess fresh is on the misleading label, right?; French toast dry and lacking its richness; grits was the better dish of it all. The playlist that day was amazing and made the meal a bit more enjoyable.
Great healthy food. Busy especially for brunch, not for big group. Not the cheapest, big verity for breakfast.
Very nice place in Brooklyn for a delicious breakfast or brunch. Loved my French toast with blueberries. Correct price, good food and nice staff.
Super cute! Great spot for Sunday brunch but it is cozy so can be very busy. Grits, eggs, salads, and crazy great coffee.
The Breakfast here is the best I've had in Brooklyn. The French Toast and Omelets are absolute perfection and the place itself has so much character. The service was amazing and the food was served warm and super fast. Can't recommend this place enough. 6 out of 5 stars
Best place in town for coffee and breakfast!
Our fridge was dying so me, hubby and son decided to eat out. I googled places in my area and I checked out the menu online before I decided we should give this place a try. GREAT DECISION! FOOD WAS AMAZING! Must have the fresh squeezed juices. A bit pricey compared to store bought but tastes so fresh so it's worth it.. We'll be back for brunch soon!
Quaint little spot to sit outside in good weather and chat with friends while enjoying some nice food. Simple menu with items that tastes home cooked. Not too fussy. Just tasty food. Just know the French influence does not provide you with a plate piled high with food 😉.
Good food but pricey for what you get.
This place is so cute. The food was delicious too! Unfortunately they were only accepting cash at the time of our visit and without knowing of any near by ATMs so it really limited us on how much we were able to get, but what I could afford with the cash I had on me it was delicious! I highly recommend!
Nice little cafe - especially great for late breakfast during weekends
Fresh baked pastries, delicious! Breakfast is yummy, Cheddar grits are smooth and creamy.
really good coffee and a nice hole in the wall kind of place. Sort of pricey though.
Love the pancakes. There is mostly always seating. Nice atmosphere . I love the style of half self serve and table service. Nice staff too
Great food, great choice of music. Excellent coffee. Best way to start your day or just hang out with friends.
Great service and friendly staff. The food here is delicious in a cozy neighborhood setting. Excellent experience and don't worry too f you leave your wallet at home since they also accept Apple Pay, Google Pay & Samsung Pay
Gem of a place. Even when busy managed to have very good quality food and service. Highly recommended
First meal in NewYork and Loved the food.
Food was passable for a diner but far from excellent. Service was okFriend said this was his go to breakfast spot. Turns out it's under new management and isn't quite the same.
It’s a comfortable and nice vibe to have a brunch , I like the French toast, the staff is friendly too to refill my coffee , I enjoyed eating brunch and watching football game and do some work hereThanks
Bacon was chewy and inedible. The eggs were cooked well but the grits were also cooked incorrectly. The potatoes are possibly the worst home fried I have had to date. I was told this place was amazing but my plate will go unfinished me
Great place. It was within walking distance to our place. Staff was friendly. Really good breakfast, we ate there three days in a row.
SPREADING AWARENESS FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF MANNY'S. This place was on a decline in the past couple months now I understand why: THEY WEREN'T GETTING PAID IN WEEKS. Not cool.
I had the breakfast here and I enjoyed it very much. You must order at the counter first then you can help yourself and sit where ever you would like. Their food taste very fresh and the provide healthy options for example if you prefer a salad instead of home fries. I like the atmosphere and the food was really good and good portion size.
A pearl of a spot. Service is warm and friendly. I expected good and was positively surprised.
Went on a breakfast date here. Was very disappointed with there pancakes. The worse.
Fresh dishes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner has been taste. My go to place in the neighborhood and very welcoming.
Used to come here a lot when I lived nearby but it seems that the level of service and available case goods has deteriorated a bit. The brunch food itself isn't bad but the experience is completely different.
We are visiting from Boston with 2 teenage boys. The food was AMAZING. Great service and culture. We will be sure to go back when we come back in the summer
This place is amazing! Very cozy and the food is on point! The atmosphere and the staff are so helpful and accommodating. Manny's was a must every morning before a full day of site seeing. Thank you for having us!
Great Great food! Wonderful service and awesome setting. Highly recommended.
We hadn’t ordered from these guys in a long time since we hadn’t had very good experiences in the past (eating in, taking out nor delivery). Today we were reminded why we should continue to ignore this place. They just constantly seem to get about 50-70% of our expectations wrong. And the food is never good enough to justify it...it’s really just so-so.Hour and a half wait for delivery. Ordered 2 OJ’s, received only 1. Food was super cold so had to re-heat and made scrambled eggs too hard. Checked box on seamless for no napkins/cutlery but they sent a bunch anyways. Our French toast was sent with enough syrup for a half slice, not a full order.
we loved the food, cozy place.
Recently this place became so much better. The owner, Luisa, was an awesome host and the food quality much better. I came back to New York a few weeks ago and I noticed that the place has been closed since then. Does anybody have news?
WAS NEVER THERE TO GET A TASTE OF THEIR FOOD OR SEE THE MENU-HENCEFORTH CAN'T GIVE YOU A GOOD NOR BAD REVIEW OF THE PRICES NOR THE FOODS QUALITY AND/OR QUANTITY. THUS IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO GIVE YOU ANY YES OR NO ANSWER TO THE QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE BEEN ASKING ME ABOUT WHEN YOU SHOULD BE ASKING YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS. THANK YOU.
Wonderfully tasty grits and eggs. French toast was buttery with warm maple syrup. Friendly staff and prompt service. Will definitely be back
I really wanted to like this place more for breakfast since it's open before many brunch places but the food just isn't that great. On my second trip (didn't review after first) I got bacon, scrambled eggs and a side salad. The salad was uninspiring and the veggies weren't really chopped into bitesize pieces. The dressing was a creamy balsamic that I doubt was homemade. The bacon was quite bad. Super dried out and not really much meat. Eggs were well cooked and cappuccino was excellent. Outside of the food, they have a beautiful terrace. The service wasn't great as you order at the front counter. Not an issue in itself but only one person was there to both make coffee drinks and take orders so we had to wait.
The food is carefully and wonderfully made from scratch. They put real time and effort into making quality dishes. Unfortunately the price reflects this a little to drastically. I never leave spending less than $22 on a meal with coffee. The music and astetic are very pleasing.
Not sure what happened to Manny’s - change of ownership or staff but it went downhill fast and now seems permanently closed.
Tucked away on a quiet street, the breakfast is delectable. Quiet and quaint makes it feel like mama's kitchen. Had the Homestyle grit, with a coffee, not a better way to start the day. Also great background soundtrack, they know what's up!
All I can say is Scrumptious!!!!!! Everything I have eaten has been a pure delight. The service is amazing and the food will make ypu come back for more. I am so happy with the new owners, the changes to the menu and for blessing this community with top notch food!!!
Small spot with outside seating. Food and prices were good. Almost a self serve kind of vibe as far as coffee and ordering. Staff are friendly. Coffee is good! Area surrounding location is nice.
Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, might have had a better experience if they weren't so crowded. Weren't offering the menu option I requested, forgot me outside on the patio in low 40 degree weather, did refill my coffee to their credit when they noticed. But the eggs came cooked wrong, potatoes were cold, portions were tiny and arrived over an hour after I placed my order when someone was served that arrived well after me.Just being frank. Kinda ruined my morning. Unless prompted I'm not likely to choose this again over other local options.
Manny's has very intimate ambiance, with back yard seating. It can get crowded at times. The food is great and the staff is very nice.
I had the pleasure of eating breakfast at Manny's on my trip to NY. I loved the place itself, with its rustic decor and vibin' reggae music playing. A great way to start my day, eating delicious poached eggs.
Very good. The atmosphere is lively. Great customer service. All in all, very tasty.
This location is extremely small, and can't always seat everyone who comes in..your best bet is to call ahead and ask if there's seating because you'll be disappointed when they turn you around..also be prepared to spend money because every item is Manhattan priced and your visit won't be frugal friendly. The servers were rushed and unpleasant, they were more busy trying to make room for more people. Also the tea is priced higher then the coffee which was strange because the tea was disgusting even with 4 sugars..not a place I would honestly recommend.
I ordered Blueberry pancakes and it was light fluffy and delicious, I would deff return to try out more items on the menu.
